The Survivor is an upcoming charity fundraising event and Design 7 Studio was recently awarded the honor of branding the event.  The golf tournament will be held at the Ruby Hill Golf Club in Pleasanton, California on June 14, 2010. The focus is to present “The Survivor” as a fundraising event that celebrates individual perseverance over cancer and heart disease. Kelli Schonher makes maps.  Geographic Information Systems (GIS) maps to be precise.  While her website, GEObispo wasn’t in need of a fix, she felt that the bare-bones template she was using didn’t really have the character and polish that she wanted. So she recently hired Design 7 Studio to give her online presence a good-sized overhaul, not only in the look but in the content. I stumbled upon a digital artist by the name of Dencii Manayak from Parañaque, Philippines and immediately fell in love with his black portrait series that were all created using just typographical figures: letters, punctuation, most of them the letters from the script typeface Bickham Script, and in just various shades of gray that make for striking artwork against their bold black canvases.  Pairing these portraits is a word that really sums up what that person’s life.. || Continue Reading →

As a graphic designer, I love seeing package design or logos  for products evolve over time. Recently, Sprite received yet another facelift, and I think for the better. The can of “limone” has recently gotten an upgrade to not only its overall can graphics, but the logotype and the graphic for the lemon-lime fusion. What I find refreshing (sorry for any puns) about this is the use of the lime and lemon to create an “S” within the graphic out of its negative.. || Continue Reading →
